Fundraising

Fundraising is a core function of the Foundation, enabling us to provide a variety of outreach programs. These include scholarships to deserving members of the Active Chapter and loans-in-kind, incuding a significant one for the extensive Epsilon-Iota Chapter House Restoration Project.

To date, more than 200 Alumni members contributed in excess of $150,000 to the Foundation, with more than $50,000 of that directed to Kappa Lambda, Inc. (aka the House Corporation) for the Restoration Project.

But that's just the start or what's possible for our Foundation and our Zeta. The Foundation will continue providing any assistance and support for the House Corporation, as well as expand the Scholarship Program so the Foundation can provide more scholarships to deserving UNR students and Active members of Epsilon-Iota by encouraging as many Alumni as possible to help build and sustain a substantial scholarship fund.

How to Give

You can give to either of two funds.

Kappa Lambda Educational Foundation, Inc.

The Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity exists to distribute scholarship awards to the chapter and deserving students for academic, leadership and training purposes. Donations to this organization are tax-deductible.

Kappa Lambda, Inc. (Capital Fund)

The House Corporation, a 501(c)(7) non-profit entity, provides funds for capital improvements to the Chapter House facility, including paying down the Restoration Project loan. Donations to this organization are not tax-deductible.

We will continue to call upon the financial support of each Brother. In an ongoing campaign of this nature, gifts of equal sacrifice, not equal amounts, are being sought. We ask that Alumni and family contribute a gift within their personal means, whether that gift be a $50 one-time pledge, $100 per year for a $500 pledge, or $5,000 per year for a $25,000 pledge. We realize that age, children, net worth, annual salary, etc., provide for different circumstances. In the end, we just ask that you contribute something.

You can do your part right now by clicking the link below and pledging your support for the Kappa Lambda Educational Foundation's quest of providing an exceptional living and learning environment. The completed form will be processed and a billing statement of the amount, terms and conditions as agreed for the contribution will be sent to you.
